Volunteers will have access to information about what is available throughout the county, and services that can assist with different areas of support.
When the request is covered by one of the internal services the Volunteer will ensure that people calling the organisation are put through to the correct department/advisor or signposted to other organisations better suited to support the client.
Part of the role will be to maintain records of enquiries to help assist the organisation to gauge where there may be gaps in support for disabled people, and to help maintain up to date information for signposting.
Volunteers will not be expected to offer advice of any sort, if advice is required it is expected the volunteer will signpost to the appropriate department or organisation.
