Disability Positive presents No Limits, an event showcasing opportunities and support for people living with disability.

We are so excited to announce the details of our No Limit’s entertainment and key note speaker! They all form our packed programme of events on Saturday 2nd March 2024 starting at 12 noon

Introducing…

Danielle Brown
Double Paralympic archery gold medallist Danielle Brown has proven that disability is no barrier to achieving whatever you wish. The first athlete to also represent England in an able-bodied discipline, Danielle’s drive and determination to succeed is exemplary. A wonderful Olympic speaker, Danielle enjoys all challenges in life and delivers invaluable advice to both business and social environments to ensure listeners achieve all they can.

Danielle’s versatility and experience make her one of the most desirable personalities on the after dinner speaker circuit. Ranked World No.1 for her entire career, Danielle has faultlessly performed year on year. A three time World Champion, Danielle has also won gold at the Delhi Commonwealth Games of 2010 in an able bodied discipline, showing her skill and focus is enough to beat even the best able-bodied athletes.

Dee Sign BSL (British Sign Language) Choir
Dee Sign Choir is one of the original signing choirs in the UK.
Established in 1997 and based in Chester, they have spent the past 26 years enthralling audiences with a broad repertoire of pop songs, favourites from the musicals, Christmas songs and carols.

The choir perform to raise Deaf Awareness and raise funds for Chester & District Committee for Deaf People. We’re delighted to have Dee Sign BSL Choir performing at No Limits this year.

Dogs for Good
Dogs for Good train dogs to help people affected by disability, dementia, autism and other mental-health challenges to live happier, healthier, more independent lives. These are dogs that open doors, that connect people, that bring families together. Dogs that help make everyday life possible in so many ways.

Dogs for Good service user Linda will be attending No Limits to talk about her life with assistance dog Poppy.

Georgina Durrant
Georgina Durrant is an author, former teacher, Special Educational Needs Coordinator and the founder of the award-winning SEN Resources Blog, where she shares activities, advice and recommendations for parents and teachers of children with SEND. She hosts the podcast ‘SEND in the Experts with Georgina Durrant’ and is the author of three Special Educational Needs
and Disability books: 100 Ways Your Child Can Learn Through Play, How to Boost Reading and Writing Through Play (JKP) and her latest book SEND Strategies for the Primary Years, which is out in June.

Georgina’s parenting and education advice regularly features in the press and media including The Independent, Guardian and Telegraph and most recently on Sky News.

Pete Selwood
Pete is becoming a very familiar face on the UK comedy circuit. Performing for clubs such as Glee, Last Laugh, Alexanders & Laughterhouse. Pete is now headlining for the likes of Avalon and Off The Kerb.

Alongside that Pete is regularly providing tour support for Jack Carroll and has also starred in a BBC3 Sketch alongside Jack entitled ‘Disable In Da Club’. To top that off Pete has appeared in two seasons of The Emily Atack Show on ITV2, The Likely Dads on BBC Radio 4, and a small role in Shane Meadows’ Gallows Pole.

After a rip-roaring performance at No Limits in 2022, we’re delighted to confirm Pete will be returning to the No Limits stage this year.
