1) Support Worker (for disabled young people aged 5-18 years)

What did you do last night? Did you build a den? Have fun with music and movement? Cook a new dish? Try a new sport?

Join us as a support worker and you could do be doing all this and more, whilst enjoying our range of brilliant benefits like full training, private health insurance and working with a supportive and dedicated team

The role

As a Support Worker, you will use your ability to connect with young people, help deliver creative, fun and accessible activity sessions and be part of a supportive and dedicated team.  You will need to be confident to provide high quality personal care, (including giving medication) and be able to offer behaviour support to members of the group.

As we are now expanding our services across Cheshire, we need Support Workers for:

Sensory Hive (Cheshire West), an exciting new, accessible, sensory based, after school group for young people aged 5-11 years, with lived experience of disability or long-term health conditions. The group is funded by Children in Need and will provide fun and creative activity sessions, during term time. 5 hours per week

Buzz Life Skills (Cheshire West), our brilliant accessible group for 12-18 years  that covers all the key life skills young people need to live well, while having fun along the way. 8 hours per week

Buzz (Cheshire East) our amazing accessible youth group for 12-18 year olds. The group supports young people to experience a range of great activities including cookery, sports, creative art, drama, bushcraft and more. 2.5 hours per week

The role

As a Group Coordinator, you will use your ability to connect with young people to plan and deliver creative, fun and accessible activity sessions as part of a supportive and dedicated team.  You will need to be confident to provide high quality activities, supervise a small staff and volunteer team and provide personal care, (including medication) and be able to offer behaviour support to members of the group.

As we are now expanding our services across Cheshire, we need Group Coordinators

The role

We are excited to offer this new post with Disability Positive.

As an Inclusion Worker, you will use your ability to connect with young people, mentor universal activity groups to remove barriers to inclusion and provide 1-1 support for a time limited period You will need to be confident to support and inspire others, provide 1-1 support (including personal care) and be able to offer behaviour support to individual young people, and be able to work as part of a supportive and dedicated team.

12 hours per week : Tuesday and Wednesday

4) Payroll Accounts Clerk

We have an opportunity to join our experienced team processing liabilities payments of Tax and Pensions for Carer’s Schemes. As part of our payroll team, you will be assisting in the payment of liabilities for approximately 3,600 clients who have become employers of their own Personal Assistants.

You will be processing payment runs, preparing mail merges, processing direct debits and ensuring timely payment of amounts owing into pension schemes.

Working with our clients couldn’t be more rewarding. You will be able to get to know their needs and build a close and positive working relationship. No two days are ever the same and using your initiative and great people skills will give you the opportunity to make a real difference every day.

5) Independent Living Advisor

You will be part of a team that delivers the Arrangement of Care and Support (brokerage) service.

Our Arrangement of Care and Support Advisors provide high quality information and support to both referring Health & Social Care professionals and eligible customers who are in receipt of a Personal Budget (Direct Payments), Personal Health Budgets and self-funded/private clients.
We seek an individual with a background in social care who can support disabled children and adults to live independently in their local communities.
The successful candidate would empower the individual and ensure they have the support they need to retain their independence.

You should be motivated, enthusiastic and have a passion for what you do.
You will need to demonstrate high ethical standards, take personal accountability for everything you do, and always want to be the best.

If you have some experience of social care, through life experience, voluntary placement, or paid work, we believe you will have the transferrable skills required for this exciting role.

You will need to be well organised, a confident communicator and have loads of motivation and a determination to always deliver your best.
