Sarah* previously managed the direct payment funding for her son.  This became overwhelming and Sarah was referred to the Supported Banking Service to set up a supported bank account to take away the administration tasks.

The change took some time, and Sarah explained that she was feeling anxious.  The Supported Banking team liaised with the relevant local authority to ensure that the funding was changed to be paid into the supported bank account and kept Sarah informed throughout the process.

Sarah’s Supported Bank account is now in place, ensuring that she remains in control of all actions taken but without having to complete the administrative tasks such as processing payments and organising data for audits taking away any added worry.
