Buzz Youth Group – Miles’ story

Meet Miles* – a 6 year old boy with very few opportunities to access leisure services outside the family home. He is completely reliant on his family for his social and recreational activities.

Miles started coming to our Buzz Youth Group sessions with his mum. Our team built a relationship with him slowly, finding activities he enjoyed and creating space for him to try things at his own pace.

Over time Miles has grown in confidence. He now joins group activities without needing his mum next to him, and he has friends at the group who look out for him. His mum says it’s been a lifeline for the whole family.
