A future shaped by disabled people
Disability Positive is led by disabled people, for disabled people, and we work to promote rights, independence and inclusion.
By leaving a gift in your will, you can help ensure disabled people continue to have a strong, independent voice long into the future.
A gift in your will is a powerful way to support equality, dignity and choice for future generations.

Help with writing or updating your will
We know that writing a will can feel daunting, or easy to put off. Some clients have told us they find it helpful to have support when making or updating a will.
That is why we work with a trusted will-writing partner, Free Wills, to offer free wills using clear, plain-English guidance. You can make your personalised will online in three simple steps, from the comfort of your own home, and have the added reassurance that your will will be checked, vetted and approved by a solicitor. There is never any requirement to leave us a gift. Your wishes always come first.

Gifts in wills: your questions answered
Do I have to leave a gift to Disability Positive if I make a will?
No, there is absolutely no obligation. Writing a will is about making sure your wishes are clear and the people you love are looked after. Any decision to leave a gift to Disability Positive is entirely your choice.
Is my information kept confidential?
Yes. Any conversations with us are private and handled with care. We respect your right to make decisions in your own time and in your own way.
How much do I need to leave?
There is no minimum amount. Many people choose to leave a small percentage of what is left after loved ones are provided for. Every gift, whatever the size, helps protect disabled people's voices and rights.
Can I change my mind later?
Yes. You can change or update your will at any time. Leaving a gift to a charity is never permanent until the will takes effect.
Will leaving a gift to a charity affect tax?
Leaving a gift to a registered UK charity can reduce the amount of Inheritance Tax your estate pays. Your solicitor or will-writer can explain this in more detail.
What if I want to know more before deciding?
That is completely fine. You are welcome to contact us for information or a no-pressure conversation. You do not need to have made any decisions to get in touch.
