Disability Equality Training

Training delivered by people with lived experience

Disability Equality Training

Understanding disability is about more than policies, procedures and legal responsibilities. It is about understanding the experiences of disabled people and recognising the barriers that can prevent people from participating fully in work, services and everyday life.

Our Disability Equality Training helps organisations build understanding, challenge assumptions and develop practical approaches to creating more inclusive workplaces and services.

As a Disabled People’s Organisation (DPO), we are the experts in our field, helping disabled people to live well every day. Over 75% of our team have lived experience of disability or a long-term health condition which means our training is informed not only by professional expertise, but by real-life experiences of navigating work, services and society.

Our interactive sessions are designed and delivered by members of our team who have directly experienced discrimination and understand the reality of living in a disabling society. We offer flexible training courses with both face to face and online options. Both will get you thinking, encourage discussion, challenge perspectives and help participants turn learning into action.

Why Disability Equality Training Matters

Many organisations want to be more inclusive but are unsure where to start. Our training helps participants:
